I bought this wonderful Passat as a lease return from a dealership in San Diego, CA in 2005 and drove her down to Yucatan the same year. I now have a truck work pays for so the Passat has only seen light, around town duty recently. She's just back from the mechanics less than two months ago and in great condition. While there, the break lines and radiator were flushed, suspension, mechanics and driveline gone over and a general tune up was preformed. I'll have the interior cleaned and detailed this week and get a full wax and exterior detailed for her new owner as well.

She's black, has 120,241 miles on the four cylinder, 1.8L turbo engine and runs like a champ. As a GLS model she comes equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, cloth seats (no sticking to sweaty leather in our hot, humid climate!) a 6-disk cd changer in the trunk and tape deck/radio in the dash, plus all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a higher end VW. The insurance in is full coverage through AXA Insurance and is fully transferable to the new owner. The policy is good through July 2010 and then can be renewed by the new owner- there is a discount for renewing existing policies.

The car has been legally imported into Mexico but still has California plates. As such Mexican citizens cannot legally drive it. As of 2010 (in roughly six weeks,) the car can be nationalized, but we cannot sell it to Mexican citizens prior to that.

We are asking 5000.00 USD, or the equivalent in pesos based on exchange rates day of. We are open to offers, partial trades and cash, or trades depending on what you have- a small sailboat, dive equipment, tools and other useful items spring to mind immediately but all offers will be considered.
